Try to Extract Cashew Shell Oil To Increase Economic Benefits

Tanzania’s Industry and Trade and Industry Federation (CTI) recently reported that the country has taken a significant step towards increasing its economic benefits. By extracting cashew shell oil, a crucial raw material in many heavy industries worldwide, Tanzania has opened up new opportunities for growth and development. In addition to actively splitting cashews, Tanzania can now press, produce, and extract cashew shell oil on its own, without relying on imports. The production and export of cashew shell oil have been on the rise, with Tanzania exporting 55,000 liters of this commodity in 2022 alone. This is a great achievement that signifies Tanzania’s commitment to its economic growth and its desire to tap into the vast potential of the cashew nut industry. The extraction of cashew shell oil has also opened doors for new investments, increasing employment opportunities and boosting the overall economic outlook of the country.

According to a spokesperson from CTI, Tanzania should take pride in its domestic cashew nut processing and the production of cashew nut shell oil. Expediting the process of processing all raw cashews grown within the country will add significant value instead of just exporting the raw nuts. By investing in local processing facilities, Tanzania can take a big step toward economic growth and sustainable development. It is essential to encourage the use of domestic resources and create job opportunities for local people. Supporting this endeavor would not only yield many advantages to Tanzania’s economy but also to the well-being of its people. Let’s support domestic processing and celebrate the country’s growing efforts toward the production of cashew shell oil.
