The raw cashew nuts (RCN) have 30% cashew kernels and 70% cashew shell. Normally, 1 ton of raw cashew nuts can process 250-300 kg of the kernel and 700-750 kg of the shell.

We have 3 Type of cashew shells in Vietnam Markets:
- Raw Cashew Shells – The Raw Hard-shell of Cashew nuts before extract oil, they’re the primary raw material for the production of cashew shell oil products.
- Cashew Shell Residues (Extracted Oil) – The remains of the raw cashew shell after the oil has been extracted.
- Cashew Testa Skin (Husk) – Inside the shell is the edible cashew nut covered by a skin, called the testa.

Cashew Shell Used For?
Cashew Nut Shell (CNS) and Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) are used as biomass fuels for clean power generation. There is a growing demand and for this CNSL due to its other multiple uses including paints, laminating resins, and intermediates for the chemical industry. Cashew Shells Residue is used to burn and Cashew husk is used to make animal food.
