The fat content of the black soldier fly larvae is very high at about 30-35%. Most notably, the fat of the BSF larvae contains up to 45-50% Lauric Acid, which is a fatty acid that makes up the fat. There is a big difference between feeds made from black soldier flies and other animal feeds.
